Position Summary
The Fulfillment Team Member supports the day-to-day operations of the Fulfillment Department. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and works with the fulfillment team to accurately prepare, verify, document, and stage customer orders for distribution. The Fulfillment Team Member follows established procedures, maintains accurate records, and promptly communicates order or inventory discrepancies.
Fulfillment Team Member Duties
- Review assigned orders, priorities, and delivery schedules
- Pick, count, prepare, and stage products and materials accurately and efficiently
- Verify product, quantity, batch or lot information, packaging, labels, and required documentation before an order is completed
- Label containers, container tags, and products using the appropriate labels and tools
- Update fulfillment logs and electronic records as orders are processed to maintain accurate, current information
- Immediately report missing, damaged, mislabeled, or inconsistent products and order information to the Production Manager
- Support the team in maintaining the next-day order delivery schedule and meeting daily production goals
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts and product reconciliation
- Communicate clearly with the Production Manager and coworkers regarding order status, workflow, and potential delays
- Coordinate product handoffs with Gramming and Packaging team members to support timely order fulfillment
- Monitor fulfillment supplies and notify the Production Manager when stock is low
- Assist other departments with pre-packaging and preparation when needed
- Follow standard operating procedures, compliance requirements, and instructions from department leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow equipment-use, sanitation, and safety policies
- Work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Stand and/or remain active for shifts of up to 10 hours
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to perform fulfillment work accurately as part of a team and independently.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate order status, inventory information, and discrepancies to the Production Manager.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely.
Ability to conduct oneself professionally and exercise good judgment.
Non-Essential Functions
Ability to assist with electronic recordkeeping in systems such as MJ Freeway and Microsoft Excel.
Experience, skills, education & licenses/certifications
Required:
2-Hour Medical Cannabis Course required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, completed during orientation.
Completed orientation training, including:
- Proper Handling of Cannabis
- Proper Recordkeeping
- Anti-diversion Training, Including Zero Tolerance Policy
- Security Procedures
- Medical Emergency Response
- Fire Response
- Chemical Spill Response
- Armed Robbery/Burglary Response
- Criminal Incident Response and Reporting
- Open Door Policy
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to pass a drug screening.
Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire.
Recommended:
Experience in fulfillment, warehouse operations, inventory, order dispatch, production, or a related field.
