Position Summary
Processing Technicians help make products for sale in stores and help represent the mission and goals of
FarmaceuticalRX through attention to detail, efficiency, and care for quality products. Processing Techs are
responsible for making cannabis products with speed, quality, and accuracy, while adhering to
FarmaceuticalRX’s standards for manufacturing, in addition to meeting industry compliance requirements.
Processing Techs are an important part of the seed-to-sale chain of production and act as the bridge from
garden to store, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality finished products Farmaceutical RX can provide.
Job Duties/Essential Functions
● Can display basic knowledge about cannabis
● Can stand and/or be active for shifts up to 10 hours
● Works well in a fast paced, and rapidly changing environment
● Assist with pre-processing, post-processing, and packaging functions while maintaining detailed
laboratory records
● Follow standard operating procedures
● Follow proper equipment use and safety policy
● Follow lab safety plan/manual and SDS manual
● Maintain laboratory equipment and utensils in sanitary, safe, and organized manner
● Maintain and update chemical and other ingredient inventories
● Ensure that the laboratory operates compliantly at all times
● Cleaning and maintenance of lab and extraction equipment;
● Performing clerical work as it pertains to concentrate lab;
● Ability to operate the hydrocarbon or ethanol extraction, distillation process, winterization process,
and any other lab expansion areas, ensuring the procedures are executed accurately, efficiently, and in
adherence to company standards
● Contributing to a healthy, supportive work environment, and compliant atmosphere in the Processing
Department
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to accurately perform the functions within the processing lab as directed by the Processing Supervisor
and Processing Manager.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely.
Conducting oneself professionally and with good common sense.
Follows direction well; good sense of initiative.
Non-Essential Functions
Ability to assist in electronic record-keeping such as MJ Freeway.
Experience, skills, education & licenses/certifications Required:
2 Hour Medical Cannabis Course required by the State of Pennsylvania completed during orientation.
Completed Orientation Training which include:
● Proper Handling of Cannabis
● Proper Recordkeeping
● Anti-diversion Training, Including Zero Tolerance Policy
● Security Procedures
● Medical Emergency Response
● Fire Response
● Chemical Spill Response
● Armed Robbery/Burglary Response
● Criminal Incident Response and Reporting
● Open Door Policy
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to pass criminal background check.
Ability to pass drug screening.
Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire.
Recommended:
Experience in any relevant trades, including horticulture, food handling, etc.
Management will review the Job Analysis for this position prior to a job offer.
